New business development director for Altrad NSG
Altrad NSG has appointed business development specialist Paul Mawdsley as its new Group Development Director
Paul joins the company after three years with civil engineer D Morgan.
Paul will work closely with Managing Director Mike Carr and Director Tim Walker to secure more work across the construction sector and build on key relationships in industry.
Mr Carr said: "Paul has a wealth of experience and an excellent network of contacts which will help to take Altrad NSG to the next level. We have recently acquired a number of businesses to expand on our core sectors and are looking to capitalise on opportunities in areas such as social housing, residential and commercial new builds.
"At the same time we continue to carry out access, maintenance and refurbishment work at industrial sites across the UK - an area again in which Paul's expertise will help us to grow."
Paul studied politics and economics at Strathclyde University before going on to gain a Master's degree in European Studies. He is widely recognised in the region's construction industry - having worked for the 'Construction for Merseyside' initiative - and in his three years as Head of Business Development at D Morgan, the firm's turnover more than doubled.
Paul said: "This is a fantastic opportunity with an established, innovative and market-leading company which continues to demonstrate ambitious growth plans.
"As well as using my existing contacts to build new relationships for Altrad NSG, I will also be working hard to reinforce our relationships with existing key contractors. There is real scope for expansion in the North West, North Wales and across the UK and I am delighted to be able to play a vital role in driving the business forward."
Altrad NSG operates across the UK, providing specialist scaffolding and industrial access solutions as well as insulation, painting, coatings, blasting and industrial cleaning. The company works with a range of blue chip construction clients, with core sectors including on and offshore oil and gas, petrochemical, pharmaceutical, power generation (including nuclear), steel production, shipbuilding, rail and civil infrastructure.
